When celebrating the 40th anniversary of the MSX computer, a live performance is an absolute must! During MSX GOTO40, Level Up!, the Video Game Music Band, will take the stage with an impressive set of MSX video game music. Expect classics from Konami, Compile, Microcabin, and more, accompanied by visuals and animations.

Level Up! has a unique mascot in the form of a Dutch potato in Japanese cartoon style. This mascot not only represents the Netherlands and Japan but, above all, embodies the joy of video game music. Level Up! consists of five musicians and an animator who play existing and well-known video game music. Their musical roots trace back to the ’80s and ’90s when chiptune music emanated from computer chipsets and/or game cartridges, created by musicians and programmers. Level Up! performs these iconic chiptune music with traditional instruments, adding their own creative, musical, and visual dimension to these timeless melodies.
